Buffalo Tower

This tower is proposed to the Faculty of Agriculture at Khon Kaen University to celebrate the buffalo. In this context, the buffalo is more than a farm animal; it acts as a professor who teaches the students. The bond is so deep that students often choose this landscape to take their graduation photos, marking a significant memory of their time on campus.

The structure features 36 pillars standing toward the sky, all covered in embossed Dan Kwian tiles. It sits in the middle of the university's largest grass field, which is preserved specifically for feeding the buffalo. The stairs lead visitors up to explore the connection between this land and the campus, providing a space to observe the natural behavior of the buffalo herd as they graze in the field.

The tower stands as a tribute to this landscape, envisioning it as a permanent heritage for the university. By highlighting the importance of this open land, the project ensures that this unique environment continues to serve as a living laboratory for future generations. This landscape remains a vital asset to the university’s identity, preserving a special atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else.
